Since being given the gift of a John Pike pallette at the age of about 11, I've been a devoted watercolourist and a fan of working on paper in general.
I first studied intaglio printmaking in 1986, when I was awarded a full scholarship for a six-week residency at the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts, and over time, I've added linoleum block cutting, ephemera collecting and book arts to my list of paper-based loves.
I've recently picked up a Gocco screen printer for more fun & printmaking games, but really, nothing can beat the simple pleasure of a beautiful blank journal or sketchbook and a 2B pencil sharpened just so.
